sorry man., dont mean to double comment but wow! after the freshly pressed press i took a look at the rest of your work. Good stuff, great stuff. I especialy liked “The Age of Robot Farming..” and the pubberband mummy! Cheers.
A perfect 2-word editorial on the gulf oil spill reflecting on everyone involved passing the buck. Maybe it was a butterfly somewhere in Africa moving it’s wing just a tiny bit that started the whole ball rolling … or karma.
I think the situation is tragic. But the way that it is depicted strikes us humans as funny. It’s not the situation that is funny, it’s how it was tied into the picture.
The oil is coming from a pipe. It’s lighter than water and rises. Catch it with an upside-down big bucket on a pipe that takes it to a tanker filling station at the surface. With miles of depth to leak, the oil won’t need to be pumped. It will have enough pressure to fill a line of awaiting tanker ships.
Comical in a heartbreaking way… I had to smile but it really isn’t a laughing matter if you think about the destruction. What a tragedy.
Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when billions of gallons of oil spew into the Gulf of Mexico.
blog walking 🙂
